About Mad Potter’s Studio

Mad Potter’s Studio is a small UK studio that helps makers, artisans and creative hobbyists, from all arts and crafts, get real value from AI, craft, design and technology. We publish honest reviews of the latest digital tools, general interest pieces in our blogs and ready-to-use resources so you can spend less time guessing and more time making.

What you will find here

  • Tools: clear, no-nonsense summaries and checklists that help you judge if a tool is worth your time.
  • Blogs: Including news from the creative world, tutorials with step-by-step walkthroughs that work on real projects, not just demos and a few reviews thrown in for good measure.
  • Resources: We also offer worksheets, templates and cheat sheets you can download and use to make your projects flow and develop that little bit easier.

How we test and review

We keep things simple and consistent. Every tool or technique is assessed for:

  • Learning curve and time to first result
  • Fit for makers and small studios
  • Cost of ownership and fairness of pricing
  • Accessibility and inclusion
  • Privacy, data handling and export options
  • Platform support and reliability

We do not publish paid “listicles”. If a maker is likely to waste time or money, we say so.

Our values

  • Useful over hype
  • Practical over perfect
  • Honest over promotional
  • Accessible for different needs and learning styles

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We write in clear language, avoid jargon where possible, and design for readers who prefer simple layouts. If you spot a barrier, tell us and we will fix it.

Editorial independence and how we make money

Running this site costs time and money. We use a mix of:

  • Affiliate links that may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you
  • Occasional sponsorships for independent opinions
  • Our own digital products and courses

Corrections and feedback

We value considered and constructive opinions of others. If we get something wrong, we correct it. If you have a suggestion, want a guide, or need a quick sanity check on a tool, email us. Helpful feedback often becomes a new article or resource.

Affiliate disclosure: Some pages include affiliate links. If you choose to buy through those links, we may earn a small commission. This supports new tutorials and resources. It does not change our reviews. For details, see our Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy pages.
